With more than four decades of experience in the construction industry, Chris Walden brings deep expertise in both design and field operations. Since co-founding Walden Works in 2005, he has overseen every phase of the construction process—from site preparation through finish work—ensuring quality, efficiency, and accountability at every step. His hands-on background spans commercial and residential design-build projects, including churches, office buildings, and custom homes. Chris holds unlimited licenses as a general contractor, commercial roofer, and construction manager in South Carolina and North Carolina, reinforcing his broad qualifications and leadership in the field.

Joy Walden
As Vice President, Joy Walden leads day-to-day operations with a focus on commercial construction and restoration projects. Her background as a licensed public insurance adjuster and national account manager provides valuable insight into complex commercial claims and client coordination. Joy ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the high standards that define Walden Works. Her leadership strengthens internal collaboration while maintaining clear, responsive communication with commercial partners and stakeholders.

Hitzel Branham has been part of the construction industry since 2012, serving in roles that span operations, sales coordination, and purchasing. As Office Manager, she supports daily operations, coordination, and administrative efficiency across the company. Her organizational skills and steady approach help keep projects and teams aligned, contributing to the consistent, reliable service clients expect from Walden Works.

David Kennedy
David Kennedy joined Walden Works in 2025, bringing decades of leadership experience in electrical and commercial construction. A retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, David holds a Master Electrician license and multiple IAEI certifications. His background includes serving as an electrical inspector and supervising large-scale projects nationwide, ranging from residential to light commercial and assisted living facilities. David’s disciplined approach and technical expertise strengthen project oversight and field coordination across our job sites.

Bill Ray brings over a decade of hands-on construction experience, with a strong foundation in building, remodeling, and on-site problem-solving. He is known for his attention to detail and commitment to delivering work that meets high standards of quality and durability. As a project manager, Bill focuses on ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.

Ralph Walden
Ralph Walden is a licensed architect in South Carolina and North Carolina with more than 45 years of experience in architectural design and construction. His portfolio includes over 425 church-related facilities, along with numerous commercial and custom residential projects. With a background that also includes general contracting, Ralph brings a practical, construction-informed perspective to design, scheduling, and budget management. His long-standing service as an architectural consultant for the Town of Blythewood further reflects his commitment to thoughtful design and community stewardship.
